She's finally here!!! Welcome, Baby Kate. We couldn't be more thrilled to finally be able to hold you in our arms.
It feels like we've been waiting forever for this baby to be born. I was so sure that she was coming early that it was quite a surprise to me when Christmas passed without a baby, then New Years passed without a baby, then her due date came and went... and still no baby!
Finally, I was scheduled to be induced. The day of the induction, we had to call the hospital to make sure they actually had room for us. (I guess women who are actually in labor have precedence- haha!)
We called at 6 am, and they said to try calling back at 9. At 9, we were told to try again at 1. At 1, it was 5:30. . . well, you get the picture. After a very long day of anxiously waiting, we finally got to the hospital around 7:30 pm. And we got to wait some more, because Kate decided to take her sweet time, and didn't arrive until the next afternoon.
All that waiting was more than worth it when we finally got to meet our sweet little girl. We brought her home from the hospital a few days ago, and since then, it's been nonstop snuggles. I can't get enough of her squishy little self, and Emma as been doing SUCH a good job as a big sister. I couldn't be more proud of her.
